Unlike other types of hair extensions, wearing clip-in hair extensions does not require any expert skills or the assistance of a specialist. Clip-in hair extensions are distinguished from other types of hair extensions in that they do not damage your natural hair once applied properly. As they can be worn and removed at any time during the day, clip-in hair extensions allow your head to rest and will not disrupt healthy hair growth. They are a great alternative to permanent hair extension methods that do require a lot of commitment and can indeed seriously damage your own hair.

For best and seamless results, we generally recommend that your hair should be approximately 6 inches (15cm) in length for the extensions to blend in naturally.

As most natural hair types, however, do tend to be slightly thinner towards the ends, we recommend professionally layering or feathering your hair extensions for a more natural and seamless look. Having your hair extensions professionally cut or layered would also help them blend in better with your own hairstyle, particularly if it is a shorter haircut or if it has many layers cut throughout its length.

Yes, we only use the finest quality 100% PURE Premium Remy human hair. Remy hair is considered to be the highest grade of real human hair available on the market - the ultimate luxury in the world of hair extensions, hairpieces, and wigs! Made of the finest, healthiest hair, carefully hand picked strand by strand and meticulously arranged in such a manner that all cuticles are kept intact and are laying in the same direction - from root to tip. As a result of this particularly thorough process, the hair remains perfectly natural looking, silky smooth, shiny, long-lasting, and truly tangle free.

In comparison, non-Remy "fallen" hair has its roots and tips all mixed up, the cuticles have not been carefully arranged in the same direction, and the hair is often stripped off its cuticles entirely and, therefore, from its protective protein shield, making it brittle, matted, prone to tangles, knotting, and breakage.

Unlike synthetic or non-Remy hair, which do have a very short lifespan, our Cheeky Chica® hair extensions are made of the finest quality 100% Luxury Premium Remy protein rich human hair Grades AAA+ & AAAA Double Drawn, which could last up to 5 - 12 months or even over a year with the proper hair care and maintenance. A number of factors, however, will contribute to the lifespan of your hair extensions, including how often they are worn, styled, and washed, as well as how well they are being looked after and whether proper precautions are taken to protect them from heat or chemical damage.

Cheeky Chica® clip-in hair extensions are designed with multi-tone shade adapt system, allowing them to adapt to your own hair colour for a beautiful and seamless look. When choosing a shade to match your own hair, select a colour that will match the portion of your hair from the middle to the ends, as the root growth does always tend to be darker than the tips.

We offer a personalised colour match assistance to help you choose your ideal Cheeky Chica® hair shade that will best suit your unique hair colour!

In addition, we do also offer an easy, hassle-free exchange policy: if the shade received is not a perfect match or you have changed your mind and wish to have your hair extensions exchanged for a different set, we will happily arrange the desired exchange for you to suit your personal preferences.

If you do possess a unique hair colour that might not be available in our hair extension colour range, you can also colour Cheeky Chica® hair extensions to match your own hair perfectly. When hesitating between two shades, always choose the lighter colour, as it is generally much easier and less harmful to darken/ lowlight human hair extensions than to highlight or bleach them.

Cheeky Chica® hair extensions have already undergone chemical processing during manufacture and have been designed to accept colour change and to adapt perfectly to your individual needs. It is recommended to have your hair extensions professionally custom-coloured and preferably using a semi-permanent hair dye. We would also highly advise for a one-clip weft to be tested first prior to colouring the entire set, to ensure the resulting shade is what you anticipate. Always wash the hair extensions thoroughly prior to applying dye or toner on them, to ensure any residue product left during manufacture is completely washed off.

Bleaching hair extensions is NOT recommended, as this would involve a particularly harsh and harmful chemical process, which might alter the quality of your hair extensions inevitably.

Yes, indeed! You can treat and style Cheeky Chica® hair extensions just like your own hair: you can curl, straighten, blow-dry them, or use any other hot styling tools on them to suit your personal everyday needs. We do, however, recommend that you use heat in moderation and always apply a heat-protection spray on them prior to styling with any hot tools to prolong their lifespan.

You can wash your Cheeky Chica® hair extensions, following the very same procedure when washing your own natural hair - brush through before washing to remove any knots or tangles, then shampoo and conditioner. Wash each weft separately, using mild (alcohol- and sulphates-free), yet moisturising hair care range, suited to dry or damaged hair. We recommend using highly nourishing and conditioning natural hair care products on your hair extensions, such as coconut oil, olive oil, macadamia nut oil, Moroccan Argan oil, or African Shea butter - they could be found as main active ingredients in a range of shampoos and conditioners or alternatively, could be applied as a leave-in/ deep-conditioning treatment on your hair extensions.

Depending on how often they are worn and styled with hair styling products, you may find that you do not need to wash your hair extensions too regularly, approximately every 3 to 6 weeks. Once washed, allow your hair extensions to air dry naturally and avoid brushing them until completely dry - hair is at its weakest and most brittle point while wet.

To keep them beautiful and healthy-looking longer, Cheeky Chica® hair extensions should be stored in a safe place away from direct sunlight. You can either store them horizontally in their packaging box or in your own personalised box of unique design, whichever best suits your personal preferences. Always ensure your hair extensions are completely dry and brush through any knots or tangles in the hair before storing them away.
